The Strand magazine was a monthly British magazine published from 1891 to 1950, most famous for the first published stories of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as fiction by Agatha Christie, PG Wodehouse and Graham Greene. It also contained non-fiction and puzzles.
Heinz Baked Beans were first introduced at Fortnum & Mason – famous for its gourmet food – in London in 1886 and consists of haricot beans in tomato sauce.
