Estate agent dream
Like a lot of my dreams, it had a cinematic, noirish quality to it: production values were good, acting top notch. If I had to pitch it, I’d say Studio Ghibli meets Ken Loach via Blade Runner.
A large, almost cartoon character estate agent in a beige trench coat with a tiny hairy head takes me along a dark, rainy alleyway to view a house for sale. Actually it’s a lovely modern looking house but that’s not actually the one, we walk through that one to the actual house for sale, which is filled with kids, cats and dogs racing around. It’s very run down, with a depressed-looking mother in a dressing gown sitting in the kitchen. My cat Casper is running around being chased by his nemesis, a tabby cat we call Socks, who changes colours as he runs through different rooms; suddenly he’s ginger, the same colour as Casper.
